THE 7TH ANNUAL DRUKPA COUNCIL, MEETING OF MASTERS
Envisioned by His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa, His Holiness the 70th Je Khenpo and many other great Drukpa masters, the Annual Drukpa Council (ADC) is for it to become an annual event where all the masters of the lineage from Tibet, Bhutan, Ladakh, Kinnaur, Lahaul, Sikkim and other parts of the Himalayas and its followers could come together to revive some unique aspects of the Drukpa Lineage and share the 1000 over years old rich spiritual legacy with the world through the inspiration of teachings, initiations and oral transmissions. TEACHING BY DRUKPA MASTERS FROM HIMALAYAS & DRUKPA NUNS FROM LADAKH
Drukpa masters from all over Himalayas will take turn to give spiritual guidance. In addition, Lobpon Jigme Tingdzin Zangmo and Lobpon Jigme Samten will share their experience on the spiritual path, the challenges they face and the revelations that they discover, followed by guided meditation and a short explanation on â??How to Receive Blessings of Naropaâ??s Six Ornaments.â?

NAROPA MILLENNIAL ANNIVERSARY
A TRIBUTE TO NAROPA -�CELEBRATING LADAKH�, A FASHION SHOW & KK PERFORMING LIVE
DRUKPA KUNG FU NUNS PERFORMING DRUMS & A 3D VIDEO MAPPING SPECIALLY FOR LADAKH

On the millennial birth anniversary of Naropa, His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa will don the Six Ornaments of Naropa to grant the Grand Chakrasamvara Empowerment, and this only happens once every 12 years. Chakrasamvara being the secret and essential form of Avalokiteshvara, is the main meditational deity of Naropa. It is believed that receiving the Chakrasamvara Empowerment from His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa in the Six Bone Ornaments of Naropa will close the doors to the three lower and unfortunate realms (the realms of animals, hungry ghosts and hell). This would be followed by â??Naropa Award Ceremonyâ? where individuals who contribute to the betterment of communities and mankind would be recognised. The evening will begin with Drukpa Kung Fu Nuns displaying their drum beating skills and Dharma dance, and â??Celebrating Ladakhâ?, a fashion show on unique Ladakhi traditional clothings and their different inspired variations, to be joined by celebrity showstoppers. KK with his band will perform for the audience as a tribute to Naropa. A 3D video mapping, first of its kind in Ladakh, will close this auspicious day with colours, sounds and lights.

PUBLIC DISPLAY OF ORNAMENTS, TEACHING & DIALOGUE
The public will be provided an opportunity to pay homage to selected pieces of the Six Bone Ornaments in a mandala, in close proximity, while His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa teaches on â??50 Stanzas of Guru Devotionâ?, followed by a dialogue among scholars and spiritual teachers on â??Conflict Resolution in the 21st Centuryâ?. This evening will begin with Bollywoodâ??s favourite music directors and producers, Vishal-Shekhar, performing with artistes from Ladakh and Himalayas.

PUBLIC DISPLAY OF ORNAMENTS
TRADITIONAL LADAKHI ARCHERY COMPETITION
A TRIBUTE TO NAROPA - â??DANCE OF INDIAâ? BY TERENCE LEWIS WITH STUDENTS OF DRUK PADMA KARPO SCHOOL

The public will continue to queue for an opportunity to sight the Ornaments in close proximity, as His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa teaches on â??50 Stanzas of Guru Devotionâ?. A traditional Ladakhi archery competition will also be taking place. Besides performances by devotees, and â??Dances of Indiaâ? by Terence Lewis and troupe, one of Indiaâ??s most popular choreographer and dancer, joined with Ladakhâ??s favourite performers.

A TRIBUTE TO NAROPA -SHANKAR-EHSAAN-LOY PERFORM WITH ARTISTES FROM LADAKH & HIMALAYAS

The largest silk embroidered brocade of Buddha Amitabha will be unfurled to mark the grand opening of Naropa 2016, the Millennial Anniversary Celebration.

â??50 STANZAS ON GURU DEVOTIONâ?, ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION & INTER-SCHOOL QUIZ
A TRIBUTE TO NAROPA -VICKY, SIVAMANI WITH DEEPAK PANDIT & FRIENDS WITH RAHUL KHARBHANDA PERFORMING MAGIC SHOW

His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa will continue to teach on â??50 Stanzas of Guru Devotionâ?, followed by essay writing competition and inter-school quiz on Naropa. The day will be filled with spiritual discourses, traditional Bhutanese archery competition and the evening will conclude with Vicky performing Punjabi & Kashmiri numbers and Sivamani with Deepak Pandit and friends will give a set of sparkling performances, as a tribute to Naropa. Rahul Kharbhanda will also give a sterling magic show performance.

�50 STANZAS OF GURU DEVOTION� & GUIDED MEDITATION
A TRIBUTE TO NAROPA -SHAKTI MOHANâ??S DANCE PERFORMANCE WITH STUDENTS OF DRUK PADMA KARPO SCHOOL & NEETI MOHAN PERFORMS WITH ARTISTES FROM LADAKH & HIMALAYAS

His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa will continue teaching on â??50 Stanzas of Guru Devotionâ?. The evening will be concluded with Shakti Mohanâ??s dance drama with students of Druk Padma Karpo School (more popularly known as â??Ranchoâ??s Schoolâ?) with AV act curated by MK Raina and dance choreographed by Maanavi Sharma, and Neeti Mohan and her band will offer their performances in tribute to Naropa, along with artistes from Ladakh and all over Himalayas.

CLOSING CEREMONY WITH 100,000 GANACHAKRA OFFERING & PRESENTATION OF CERTIFICATES
A TRIBUTE TO NAROPA -SHREYA GHOSHAâ??S CONCERT FOR LADAKH

The Grand Closing Ceremony will begin with 100,000 Ganachakra Offering in the morning, followed by presentation of certificates and prizes. The evening will conclude with Shreya Ghosalâ??s colourful performances in tribute to Naropa, along with artistes from Ladakh and Himalayas.

THE 8TH ECO PAD YATRA
The 8th Eco Pad Yatra (walking pilgrimage) will start from Chemdrey to a renowned prediction lake in Ladakh, along the way there will be holy sites of pilgrimage for reverence.
